LAUSANNE, 22nd March 2017 - On Saturday and Sunday Prato Nevoso (Cuneo, Italy) will host the fourth world cup leg after events in Andorra, France and Turkey . Organised by Mondole Ski Alp, this their third ISMF skimo world cup, the weekend starts with the Individual on Saturday and climaxes with the final Sprint of the season on Sunday. The leaders of Sprint speciality cup, sponsored by UBI Banca, are Laetizia Roux, France and Robert Antonioli, Italy. Roux (200 points) is followed by Claudia Galicia Cotrina, Spain (160) and Adele Milloz, France (85). Meanwhile Antonioli takes the lead with 160 points, a convincing margin ahead of the Swiss Iwan Arnold and Nadir Maguet, Italy both with 100 points.

The weekend will see athletes from Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, USA and of course Italy, competing at home with a fair sized team and aiming for victory.

Giorgio Colombo, president of the local organising committee has affirmed that: «the snow came early to the region and today the conditions are perfect, despite the spring temperatures. We aim to carry out the original track, and if the weather permits then the race will take in the crest of Mondolè, although of course we also have a route B planned in case of a change to the conditions. The forecast for Sunday is looking good so the Sprint should be spectacular with a good crowd of spectators».

The Individual race, taking in mountain tops above Prato Nevoso, Frabosa and Artesina on Saturday 25 March, has a world cup start of 08.30 with the participants of open race 'Tre Rifugi' , in its 65th edition starting off at 09.00. Even the kids have a chance to join in with a ski school organised descent at 17.00. Sunday 26 March the last Sprint world cup of the season starts at 09.00, and the finals due to finish at approximately 12.00, followed immediately by the flower ceremony and the official prize ceremonies at 14.30
