LAUSANNE, 2 April 2017 - It's spring and once again time for another leg of the Grande Course, this time in Italy with the Adamello Ski Raid. The warm weather, and consequently difficult snow conditions, meant a lot of hard work for the organising committee, with the final track only  decided right before the start of the race. The 350 teams ( 700 competitors) set off on a route that covered 4000m of ascent and descent over a length of 45km. The male teams started out at 06.00 and the women at 06.30, with the  highest point reached during the race being Passo degli Italiani at 3390 m.

Damiano Lenzi and Matteo Eydalin, Italy took an early lead and kept up the pace through the race, crossing the finish line  after 4 hours, 35 minutes and 29 seconds, giving them an 8 min 47 secs advantage over their nearest rivals.

The winning female team, Axelle Mollaret (France) and Jennifer Fiechter (Switzerland)  also had a similar advantage, 8 mins and 12 secs, crossing the finish line after 5 hours, 45 minutes and 50 seconds.

The leaders will have picked up valuable points for the ISMF world ranking.
